Jessica, Sept. 19 2010: Last night I had a dream about an old man with a new life. Isn't that strange? But I think that's Venice. Full of tourists on a Saturday, could barely see Piazza San Marco.
Did not attempt line at Palazzo Ducale. Sadness.
Cruise ship literally blocks the view and I am claustrophobic.
Yet Venice is a beautiful city - life is art here. Incredible.
Arrive in Zagreb at 4:00 am by train. It is rainy and cold, and we are waiting forever in a lobby cafe for our room to be ready at Arcotel. Walked in rain and dark. Feeling gross. Can't wait for hot shower and bed!!
